Role Overview

This is a varied, multi-skilled customer facing role, sitting within the Operations & Quality department of Marflow which is part of the Sanbra Group and trades with under the brand name “St James”.  This is a new role within an expanding business, with opportunities for future advancement for the right candidate.  As a customer facing role, the Display Build Operative & Fitter is a brand ambassador and a professional representative of the St James brand.

The focus of the role is to build product displays and fit them in customer showrooms. This involves picking components, using hand or power tools and assembling bathroom product onto display boards, packing them safety for transit and then despatching to customer. Or, driving to Customer premises to fit display boards & product into situ directly.  This will include travel within the UK regularly, probably some overtime hours depending on location of customer, and some overnight stays when undertaking fit outs.

The role requires the ability to quickly build a rapport with customers and work alongside Sales Representatives to provide an excellent display fit service and the creative thinking to solve any issues that arise when attending a fit out.

Marflow Engineering Limited sits within the Plumbing & Heating Division of the Sanbra Group and focuses on high quality bathroom & kitchen brassware and fitting solutions, marketed under the branding St. James.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Build product displays & point of sale, onsite at Marflow premises, using hand / power tools to do so and assemble product onto display units.
• Install display boards, POS and product in customer showrooms.
• Operate safety, following health & safety regulations and procedures both when in the warehouse environment and when driving or working away offsite in customers’ premises.
• Safely resolve any onsite practical issues such as unexpected complications when fitting.
• Represent the Company professionally in all interactions with Customers, leaving the customer with a positive image of the Brand & Company.
• Ensure display materials are fitted in accordance with Brand Guidelines.

Driving Requirements: 

• Full UK or EU driving licence
• Minimum of 6 months driving experience
• Below 6 penalty points, preferably none.
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
• Licences must be up to date with full name (as shown on your other identification), as well as current home address

• Tiling or Bathroom Fitting Experience
• Shop Fitting Experience
• Plumbing Experience or Training
• Ability to take responsibility for and supervise the work of others, with the opportunity for advancement as staff numbers in display build & technical grow.
